Lynn Dewart uses the arts to help individuals, couples and groups create and manage change, and to adapt and thrive in every day life. She is currently Expressive Arts Therapist at ABC Sober Living and at Lasting Recovery in San Diego county as well as in private practice in San Diego and in Potrero, Ca. Lynn specializes in trauma recovery, post traumatic stress including combat induced PTS, anger management, anxiety, eating disorders and substance abuse.
Lynn brings over 20 years of personal involvement in the arts to her practice, as well as an extensive background in group therapeutic work in the arts. Lynn graduated cum laude from the European Graduate School (EGS) in Switzerland, with a Master of Arts in Expressive Arts Therapy and a minor in Pyschology. Lynn graduated the same year from the Expressive Arts Institute in San Diego where she engaged in 3 years of extensive training and internships in Expressive Arts therapy.
Lynn is also a profession Teaching Artist with Young Audiences of San Diego, having completed the inaugural Teaching Artist Institute in San Diego directed by Jenn Oliver and generously funded by local Young Audiences supporters. Lynn has taught art in schools and after school programs in San Diego and North County for more than 15 years either as a volunteer or as an employee of Young Audiences.

Lynn currently resides in Potrero where she and her husband have an organic farm, play ukuleles and thrive in the natural surroundings.
